Achieve participants have the opportunity, and are encouraged, to work and earn
a paycheck. On average, 60 percent of participants are
successfully employed at jobs in the community. Others work
in-house on production jobs for pay. All employment is supported
by training and supervision - some is provided directly by Achieve
staff, others by community employers.
Production Work
One of the services offered at the Achieve center
in Blaine includes the opportunity for participants to work
in-house. The kind of work
participants are trained to do is sub-contract production work for pay.
For example, participants may prepare plastic for production recovery.
Typically, production work involves assembly, packaging and preparing
products for community businesses.
