Communication
Communication training includes instruction in appropriate voice
volume, how to speak clearly, use augmentative devices, ask for what is
wanted, identify and voice what is wrong, to refuse, and more.
Personal Living
Personal living training includes instruction that improves hygiene,
safety awareness, eating skills, independence in toileting, and more.
Adaptive Behavior
Adaptive behavior training includes instruction in developing
relaxation skills, replacing negative behavior with positive behavior
and responding effectively.
Vocational Skills
Vocational skill training includes instruction to improve skills that
are necessary to complete a job or to develop new skills for working at
a different job.
Community Participation
Community participation training relates to skill training that
increases the likelihood a participant will be more independent when out
in the community, like street safety, purchasing skills, how to use
public transportation, and more.
Social Interaction
Social interaction training includes any skill building instruction
that helps develop friendships and fosters interaction among co-workers.
